Captain Matthew Bailey
A born and raised local of Virginia Beach Captain Matt has a true passion and love for fishing and the water. Traveling the world fishing, in shore to off shore, fishing for fun, Virginia Beach charter fishing and tournament fishing; Matt has done it all.
When he’s not fishing he is working for the Maryland Pilots; running launch boats out to the ships as they come in to port. Matt has operated under his Hundred Ton Captain License since he was 18 years old. CPR and First Aid Certified, experience on the water, fishing and local knowledge is a priceless attribute to the LuLu sport fishing company.
As a kid Matt was taught by his father, local legend Capt. Ernie Bailey, who has been running sport fishing boats his whole life. Matt worked as mate and captain on many private sport fishing boats as well as a long list of noted charter boats from here to Florida. Matt comes from a long line of fisherman and has many years of experience behind him. He’s been taught by the best!
